Supports the standard rules of chess, including castling, en passant, pawn promotion, check, checkmate, and stalemate. Games are anonymous by default. Players can simply start or join a game without needing a persistent identity. When desired, a game can instead be organized between folks who know eachother, allowing friends or other players to arrange a match with one another. Gameplay is turn-based, with a web server handling the game state and communication between players.
