KillGorack 2023-07-12 17:44:24 Heat naturally flows from warmer regions to cooler regions. This is a direct consequence of the second law of thermodynamics. However, it is possible to make heat flow in the opposite direction by doing work on the system. A classic example of this is a refrigerator or heat pump, which uses work (usually from electrical energy) to move heat from a colder area (inside the fridge) to a warmer area (the room outside the fridge).
