KillGorack 2023-07-04 15:56:22 The phase transition of water to steam (and vice versa) under normal atmospheric pressure (which is close to one atmosphere of pressure) occurs at a specific temperature. This phase transition happens at 100 degrees Celsius (or 373.15 Kelvin). When two systems are in thermal equilibrium, they have the same temperature. Therefore, if a system is in thermal equilibrium with a system composed of water and steam at one atmosphere of pressure, the temperature of that system must be 100 degrees Celsius (or 373.15 Kelvin).
